After graduating from Oxford Brookes university with a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science in 2021, Isabelle Poulain-Storey begun her self-taught pottery journey in November 2023.

Her passion for ceramics has always lingered as a consumer. However, her longing to create grew after quitting her pharmaceutical job to travel. Upon returning home, she wished for a form of self expression, to mould and sculpt with her hands. She was gifted a small pottery wheel, and the rest is history.

IPS Pottery is inspired by family heritage, while exploring the relationship between functionality and beauty. A blend of French, Romani and English roots inspire the glaze work of IPS pots, as well as the forms thrown.
